Always enjoy a trip to the toystore but made the mistake of visiting while they were busy. Aisles so tightly spaced that carts can't fit beside each other meant you couldn't stop to look at anything without being in somebody's way. Very frustrating shopping experience. Was given bad advice by one employee and a couple of others didn't know where I could find one of the items I needed. Not the typical Menard's experience.
Delivering here sucks!!!! The broad in receiving has the personality of a rattle snake. When you speak to her she don't even have the decency to respond but she can talk to her co-workers. Looks like the store manager would want ALL employees to act in a professional manner and if the job is to stressful for her then maybe she needs moved to sweeping the floor because she definitely doesn't have any customer service skills. This has happened many times not just a one time deal. She may get more help unloading if she wasn't such a witch.
This Menards store is such an asset to Three Rivers! They have such a variety of everything, it's easy to be a one stop shop. I will mention a few aspects of the place I dislike. First off, I really hate how far the entrance is from the exit. More walking than necessary to get in and out. I walk well, what about those who do not? My biggest pet peeve is how the lumberyard check out and security is arranged. All purchases are made at the front check out. There are no provisions to pay in the lumberyard and leave. Here's how I bought two boards today . I went to the back contractor desk, and was issued a purchase order, then I went to the register to pay, then I drove into security gate, waited to get in. Then was told where the 2x4 studs were(all the way out back). I matched the sku # to my receipt, loaded em and proceeded to leave. The third party security checker informed me I grabbed the wrong boards. I insisted I didn't. So, trip two to the back building. Sales associate checked, and told the security guard I did have it right. I waited for two vehicles in front of me to get there order checked, and gate opened for them to leave. Then, it was my turn. Security checker checked it out again. He said ok your good. So, to re-cap, I bought two 2x4 studs, and it took me 45 minutes to get them. I like the store alot. Certain things need improvements.
Yesterday the line was so long we left and came back. Today. Shorter line. Got a good deal on a cordless Black and Decker weed whacker. 2 batteries. Works real good. Today was a four star visit.
Picked up grass seed. The store was clean. Used the rest room at the front of the store was clean. Register person pleasant and helpful. Didn't see many floor associates.
